My Print Designs on Merch by Amazon - Live Again

I did share on my Facebook Page when my first set of designs were made available on Merch by Amazon as "A Blaze by SK", at the end of 2019. These designs were for the holidays, festivity and new year. The Christmas trees were been set up in homes and offices, the homes were being lit up for Christmas and Holidays, gifts were being purchased for family and friends, holiday mood and festivity was in the air and my designs came with the festive mood  for the holiday season. 

The designs are available in various color options and styles of apparel. Some designs were also made available for pop-sockets.

 

When more designs were being added, with the COVID-19 and restrictions in place, there was a temporary hold on Merch by Amazon products. Good to see that it is back up and the sale of products are back up and live on Merch by Amazon. I am looking forward to uploading more new designs very soon. Do check out the designs currently available, in various color options for apparel.

Merch by Amazon has limitations in terms of number of designs. Some designs were available on Amazon USA and some on Amazon UK for "Merch by Amazon". The prints are designed by the selected designers and products are printed, produced, shipped and sold by Amazon and designers get paid royalties based on the products sold. The price listed on Amazon is not what the designers get, the royalties are a small percentage based on the price of the product.

"Design, Creative Expression and Covid-19" Webinar

I was invited as the resource person and speaker for the webinar on “Design, Creative Expression and Covid-19” organized by The Department of Fashion Design, The School of Science and Humanities at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. E-Certificates were issued to the participants.

Date: 4th July -2020
Time: 10:00 A.M – 11.00 A.M

As the title mentions, this talk was about Design, Creative Expression and COVID-19, discussion about these aspects and how they culminate. 

My areas of research have been Design, Creativity and Creative Expression in relation to the psychology of creativity, fashion design and the digital versus manual mediums of design. The talk touched upon art while discussing creative expression, however, this talk was more on the creative aspects for designers and the challenges as well as opportunities, specifically in the context of fashion industry. 

I will not go into the details but with the participation in hundreds, question-answer session, response and feedback was great and it was a great experience for me as a speaker. There was a lot of curiosity around the concepts and discussed. The organizing team was very cordial and I am very thankful to them for organizing it and bringing together so many participants during such challenging times. I am thankful to all the participants and for their questions, participation as well as the great feedback they provided. Thank you.
